Black pencil with golden stamping and a ivory/golden endcap. Can a pencil get any lusher? Toison d’Or meaning “golden fleece”, this pencil definitely is living up to its name.
The graphite feels smooth. As to be expected from Koh-I-Noor (and European manufacturers in general) it is a bit harder then what you would expect from Japanese or American pencils of the same grade. In return for a slightly harder core you get great point retention and a tip that is more break resistance. All in all the Toison’s graphite is of superb quality.
Weighing in at 4 grams it feels pleasantly light in the hand.
It comes presharpened by the factory measuring about 17.6 cm.
Sold individually. Buy a dozen and you’ll get them shipped to you in the original cardboard box.
